School is well underway and most of us are settling back into routine and structure. We know with children this is a good way to assist them in managing stress. It’s a good rule of thumb for adults as well, but often difficult to maintain. The other great challenge for adults is to maintain movement into each day. As I review and teach General Psychology, the point can not be made enough: movement enhances learning and memory. This is true for children and adults. Try to incorporate more movement into your daily routine and into the activities you are involved in. Whether you exercise during breaks, gesture when you talk, or have children draw concepts they are learning, the brain processes information through the brain in the areas involved with movement. Adding movement to learning will help enhance memory and recall.

My new schedule is keeping me very busy. I am working to streamline my practice as I continue to work without an assistant. If you’d like to make an appointment you can call 440-476-2958. If you have trouble getting through, you can leave a text message or contact me through this site.

It is hard to believe summer is half over! Between, my children’s school and Lake Erie College, I, like many of you are having to think about the end of summer too soon! I am honored to be teaching at Lake Erie College another year. This fall semester I will teach General Psychology and in the spring will teach Physiological Psychology. Many folks familiar with my work are aware of my passion for neuroscience and psychology. Teaching has been a great way to continue to keep current with the latest developments in the field and share practical applications of this knowledge in everyday life.
In addition, I will continue to work for Lake County Domestic Relations Court as the staff Parenting Coordinator. This role has proven to be an exciting challenge in assisting families struggling to manage complex divorce situations to best serve the needs of their children.
As a result of my busy schedule, I will continue to be available by appointment only. Keep checking this website for new information and features to help access quality resources to assist you through life’s challenges.

My friend and assistant, Laura, is moving on. Unfortunately, she will no longer manage phone calls and schedule appointments. I appreciate all of her help to my practice and her professional service. I wish her well in her future endeavors.

Currently, I am unable to take new clients who are residents of Lake County. Due to her role with the Lake County Domestic Relations Court, it is a potential conflict of interest. I can continue to work with current and past clients who are residents of Lake County. If you are a resident of Lake County and have been referred to Anna Tyrrell & Associates for services, I would be happy to discuss whether one of my associates can assist you or if another referral could best meet your needs. While I regret that I am not available as I have been in the past, my position with the LC Domestic Relations Court is a unique opportunity to serve Lake County residents in a way that fully utilizes my skills and expertise.
Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.
